We open the blinds a little and start to rise. For the first time the sunlight give us a good view of the area.

All around us is dangerous mud, or just rocks and dust as far as the eye can see. I can't see much worth exploring. We were lucky to survive this far. We don't want to endanger the world's only working steerable space craft! Maybe we should hover here for a while, take a few tests and readings, and go home. The voyage has already been a great success. Perhaps we should go back to Earth, improve the space craft with what we've learned, and get ready for the trip to Mars!

Should we go home? Or should we go back down and explore that crater? Or do something else?
